"Securing 2nd Place" Nongshim's 'Bae Hong Dong Bibimmyun' H1 Sales Up 20% YoY


[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Nongshim announced on the 28th that the sales of 'Baehongdong Bibimmyeon' in the first half of the year reached 18 billion KRW, a 20% increase compared to last year.


Sales of Baehongdong Bibimmyeon increased by nearly 30% since May, when the full heat of summer began. Nongshim expects to easily achieve this year's sales target of 30 billion KRW, which is about 30% higher than last year's annual sales.


A Nongshim official said, "Paldo Bibimmyeon, the market leader in bibimmyeon, and Nongshim Baehongdong Bibimmyeon are forming a duopoly this year through fierce market competition, widening the gap with the third-ranked product. As the heat intensifies in July and August, marketing activities targeting consumers will be actively conducted, so the bibimmyeon market is expected to heat up again this summer."


Launched in March last year, Nongshim Baehongdong Bibimmyeon quickly surpassed existing products to rank second in sales, attracting great attention.
