Korea Philip Morris Launches 'Na.Kkong.Chi' Campaign Season 3

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Korea Philip Morris announced on the 28th that it will conduct the 'Na.Kkong.Chi (Let's Clean Up Cigarette Butts Starting with Myself)' campaign in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Jeju Olle.


Since 2020, Korea Philip Morris has been running the Na.Kkong.Chi campaign, where participants walk the Jeju Olle trails and pick up discarded cigarette butts and trash around tourist spots and villages. Over 20,000 volunteers have participated in the campaign, collecting more than 750,000 cigarette butts and pieces of trash.


At the Season 3 launch event held on the 24th at Gwakji Beach in Jeju, about 60 volunteers attended along with Baek Young-jae, CEO of Korea Philip Morris, and Seo Myung-sook, Chairperson of the nonprofit Jeju Olle. After the launch event, they walked the Olle trail course from Jeju Gwakji Beach to Gonae Port, picking up discarded cigarette butts and trash.


CEO Baek Young-jae said, "If you are planning to visit Jeju ahead of the peak vacation season, please visit the Olle trail and participate in the Na.Kkong.Chi campaign."
