‘Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist’ Xander Schauffele rose four spots to 11th in the weekly official golf world rankings announced on the afternoon of the 27th (Korean time), earning 5.98 points. He accumulated points by winning the PGA Tour Travelers Championship (total prize money $8.3 million), which concluded that morning at River Highlands TPC in Cromwell, Connecticut (par 70, 6,852 yards). This is his second win of the season and sixth career victory, following the ‘2-man team battle’ Zurich Classic in April.


Scottie Scheffler (USA) remains 1st, and Jon Rahm (Spain) climbed back to 2nd. Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) is 3rd, Collin Morikawa 4th, and the second major ‘PGA Championship champ’ Justin Thomas (USA) holds 5th place. For Korea, ‘Shriners Champion’ Im Sung-jae (24) is 23rd, ‘AT&T back-to-back winner’ Lee Kyoung-hoon (31) is 41st, Kim Joo-hyung (20) is 61st, and Kim Si-woo (27, both from CJ Logistics) is 62nd. ‘Korean Open Champion’ Kim Min-kyu (21) jumped 134 spots from 362nd to settle at 228th.
