Actor Park Sang-jun Delivers Passionate Performance as 'Matt' in Bear the Musical

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Actor Park Sangjun, who left a deep impression on audiences playing the role of Marius in the August 2020 play 'Les Mis?rables,' will appear in the musical 'Bear the Musical.'


Since debuting through 'Les Mis?rables,' he has performed on stage in plays and musicals over the past two years. In the comedy play 'Lend me a Tenor,' he showcased versatile acting as the main character 'Max.' In the musical 'Agatha,' inspired by the disappearance case of British mystery novelist Agatha Christie, he delivered a distinctive performance as Inspector 'Heritz,' who investigates the disappearance case.


In 'Bear the Musical,' he appears as 'Matt,' a rival and friend of the protagonist 'Jason.' Matt forms a peculiar love triangle with Jason and Ivy in the story. He is expected to display delicate inner acting.


'Bear the Musical' is a work that deals with bold themes such as the worries of students at a Catholic high school, homosexuality, and identity. With daring yet poetic lyrics and music that captures the dynamic emotions of the characters, it has consistently been loved by musical enthusiasts.


Featuring addictive numbers, bold lyrics, and sensitively and stylishly portraying the delicate psychology assigned to each character, 'Bear the Musical' will be performed at Doosan Art Center Yeon-gang Hall until September 18.


Park Sangjun said, "I want to be a good person and actor who has a positive influence through acting," adding, "I do not want to settle for small achievements but want to continue working on projects with a learning attitude befitting a rookie actor."
