According to foreign media, Maksym Kozytskyi, governor of Lviv, stated on the 25th (local time) that six missiles were launched from the Black Sea, of which four hit the military base in Yavoriv, and two were successfully intercepted.
The Yavoriv base is a military training center that includes foreign volunteer soldiers. In March, Russia also attacked this location with missiles, killing 35 people and injuring about 130.
Dozens of Russian missiles fell in Zhytomyr in the north. Vitaliy Bunechko, governor of Zhytomyr, said, "About 30 missiles were launched targeting a military base near Zhytomyr city," adding, "About 10 were shot down, but the remaining missiles hit, resulting in the death of one soldier."
The village of Desna in Chernihiv province, north of the capital Kyiv, was also attacked by missiles. Viacheslav Chaus, governor of Chernihiv, said, "Desna was subjected to a large-scale attack," adding, "Infrastructure was damaged, but there were no casualties." Desna is known to have a Ukrainian military training center.
