[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The Gyeongnam Provincial Council held an orientation for elected council members on the 24th to support smooth legislative activities ahead of the opening of the 12th Provincial Council.
The orientation, held in the council's main conference room, included introductions of senior staff from the Secretariat and the elected members, guidance on legislative activities and the schedule of council sessions, and a tour of the main assembly hall.
The Secretariat, considering the large number of first-term council members among the 12th council, provided essential information for legislative activities such as asset registration, prohibition of concurrent positions and reporting of concurrent positions, as well as administrative audits, legislative and budget analysis.
The elected members agreed to unite their efforts to create a competent council that communicates closely with the residents through active legislative activities.
The 12th Gyeongnam Provincial Council will hold the 396th extraordinary session on July 5th to elect the chairperson and organize the first half of the council, officially beginning legislative activities.
