Daegu Deuran-gil Food Town and Yeongyang Chili Distribution Corporation Sign MOU to Supply Bitkkalchan Chili Powder

On the 24th, Yeongyang Chili Distribution Corporation signed an MOU for the "Vibrant Red Chili Powder Direct Supply" with Deulan-gil Food Town Promotion Association at Daegu Suseong-gu Office.

At Suseong-gu, Suseong-gu Mayor Kim Dae-kwon and officials attended, while from Yeongyang-gun, Yeongyang-gun Mayor Oh Do-chang, Distribution Support Division Head Nam Han-jin, and about 10 officials from Yeongyang Chili Distribution Corporation participated.

Deulan-gil Food Town is located around Deulan-ro in Suseong-gu, Daegu. The commercial district was formed in 1990, and the promotion association was established in 1997. It was selected as an "Excellent Dining District" by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in 2012 and won the "Grand Prize at the Leading Dining District Competition" in 2021. It is the largest food commercial district in Daegu.

In his congratulatory remarks, Yeongyang-gun Mayor Oh Do-chang said, "In the rapidly changing distribution market, supplying Yeongyang chili powder to Daegu's largest food town will establish a stable agricultural product supply and a comprehensive business cooperation relationship."

Mayor Oh also expressed gratitude for creating an opportunity to expand the urban-rural win-win platform between Yeongyang-gun and Daegu City.

Kim Gap-dong, president of Deulan-gil Food Town Promotion Association, said, "We are pleased to be able to directly receive Yeongyang Vibrant Red Chili Powder, a representative agricultural product of Korea, at Daegu's largest food market dining establishments. Through this, we will open opportunities for urban consumers to experience Yeongyang-gun's high-quality and excellent agricultural specialties in various ways."
