[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province, announced on the 22nd that it will hold the 101st Jeongeup Danpung Academy on the 29th at 2 p.m. at the Yeonji Art Hall under the theme "Finding a Way at the End of the World."
This special lecture will be delivered by Kim Jinman PD, the top documentary director at MBC's Culture Production Department.
Kim Jinman PD joined MBC in 1996 and has directed various works such as PD Notebook, Human Documentary Love, and Never Ending Story.
He is a representative star PD of Korea, recognized for his abilities by receiving the "Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award at the Korea Content Awards" through works like "Tears of the Amazon" and "Tears of the Antarctic."
In this lecture, Kim Jinman PD plans to share vivid stories he experienced while directing documentaries about numerous lives ranging from the Amazonian indigenous tribes to those living in the harsh polar regions, emphasizing the importance of nature to the citizens of Jeongeup.
The Jeongeup special lecture will be limited to the first 200 people through a pre-reservation system.
Pre-reservations can be made through the Jeongeup City website's integrated reservation system or by contacting the General Affairs Department of Jeongeup City Hall.
A city official said, "We hope this lecture will provide an opportunity to think about the preciousness of nature and coexistence by hearing stories from the ends of the world, such as the Amazon and the Antarctic, which are not easily accessible to us."
