According to Seo-gu on the 22nd, the aqua aerobics water exercise program was prepared to improve residents' healthy lifestyle practice rate and reduce body fat percentage.
Aqua aerobics is a form of exercise performed in water to lively music, suitable as an aerobic exercise for people with arthritis or those needing rehabilitation.
This program will be operated under the guidance of a professional aqua aerobics instructor, twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting from the 12th of next month, for a total duration of four months.
Health lifestyle practice education, including nutrition and metabolic syndrome education, will also be conducted for program participants.
Events will be held to provide prizes to participants with excellent body fat improvement rates and attendance rates, based on tests conducted before and after program participation.
A Seo-gu Public Health Center official said, "Aqua aerobics is an exercise performed in water that protects joints and has great effects not only on dieting but also on improving cardiopulmonary function, so it is a highly popular exercise among residents."
He added, "Since this is a face-to-face exercise program resuming after nearly three years due to COVID-19, we will do our best to operate it so that participants can maintain healthy physical activity."
