Jinju City Promotes '4th Industrial Revolution Smart Education' for Youth... Core Basic Technology Training Smart Education Machine Processing Training Site.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct "Smart Education on the 4th Industrial Revolution for Youth" to prepare for the changing employment environment in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution era.


This education, which has been promoted since 2020 to strengthen youth employment capabilities, will be conducted this year as a "Pre-employment Course (3 courses)" linking companies and youth employment, and "Core Basic Technology Education in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era (3 courses)" for the general public.


The education will be implemented through a business agreement with Korea Polytechnic VII University Jinju Campus, Gyeongnam Human Resources Development Committee, and Jinju Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


The pre-employment course started its first training on May 30 with the "Smart Factory-based Advanced Aircraft Body Manufacturer Training Course," which is currently underway. The city is currently recruiting 15 trainees each for the second Manufacturer Training Course and the "5-axis Precision Machining Engineer Training Course for Smart Manufacturing System Construction."


The education is provided free of charge, and youth residents of Jinju participating in the pre-employment course will receive a training allowance of 400,000 KRW and an employment success allowance of 500,000 KRW (upon 3 months of continuous employment).


The "Core Basic Technology Education in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era" for the general public will be held for four weeks from July 4 to 29 at Korea Polytechnic VII University Jinju Campus.


The core basic technology education consists of three courses: Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, and 3D Printer. The curriculum includes ▲ Artificial Intelligence Course: Basic Python programming course understandable even for non-majors ▲ Metaverse Course: Metaverse experience and basic game content production using a game engine ▲ 3D Printer Course: Character modeling using 3ds Max and 3D printer model production.


The education targets youth aged 39 or younger residing in Jinju City, and anyone interested in digital fields such as artificial intelligence and big data can participate. A total of 60 people, 20 per course, will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis until June 30.


Youth wishing to participate in the education can apply online to the Industry-Academic Cooperation Office at Korea Polytechnic University Jinju Campus by June 30.
