That afternoon, President Yoon watched the Nuriho launch live at the Yongsan Presidential Office and then received a report on the successful launch from Minister Lee Jong-ho of the Ministry of Science and ICT. After witnessing the launch, President Yoon said, "This is the result of 30 years of arduous challenges," and added, "Now, the dreams and hopes of the Korean people and youth will extend into space." In particular, through a direct video connection with the researchers, he declared, "We have opened the path from the land of the Republic of Korea to space," expressing his gratitude and congratulations.
President Yoon also reaffirmed his promise to establish the Aerospace Administration, which he mentioned in his campaign pledges. He emphasized, "As I stated in my campaign promises, I will establish the Aerospace Administration to systematically support the aerospace industry."
Additionally, on his Facebook, President Yoon encouraged the officials from the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, who led the Nuriho launch operations, as well as related company personnel, stating, "We will build a space powerhouse, the Republic of Korea."
Meanwhile, President Yoon had initially planned to watch the Nuriho launch at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, but following the principle of prioritizing the researchers, he watched the launch at the Yongsan Presidential Office to allow them to focus on the launch.
