T Map Mobility Collaborates with Autonomous Driving Solution Startup

Cooperation on Autonomous Freight and Passenger Transport Services

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] T map Mobility announced on the 21st that it has signed a 'business agreement for cooperation in autonomous driving fleet (mass sales to corporations) services' with Mars Auto, a startup developing autonomous driving solutions.

According to T map, Mars Auto possesses autonomous driving technology that learns and evolves on its own using a camera-based machine learning model without expensive equipment.

T map plans to install Mars Auto's solution on airport buses and cargo trucks to collect various data related to road environments and vehicle control. The collected data will be used respectively for Mars Auto's autonomous driving technology development and T map's platform competitiveness enhancement.

Park Ilsu, CEO of Mars Auto, said, "Through cooperation with T map, we will strengthen our driving data collection capabilities and accelerate preparations for service commercialization."

Park Seoha, head of T map SEA (Smart Infotainment, Electric Vehicle Charging, Autonomous Driving), stated, "We will do our best together with Mars Auto to lead the development of pioneering services in the upcoming autonomous driving era and to strengthen the autonomous driving service ecosystem."
