Providing Opportunities for Cultural Enjoyment through the Value of Local Cultural Heritage

Experience the Vibrant Daegaya! ... Goryeong-gun Launches 'Local Culture Recycling Project' Photo zone installed at the ancient tomb in Jisan-dong, Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted the Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage Project under the theme "Meeting the Lively Daegaya" on the 19th at the Jisandong Tumuli and Daegaya History Theme Tourism Area.


The Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage Project is one of the "This Year's Regional Cultural Heritage Utilization Projects" sponsored by the Cultural Heritage Administration. It aims to develop and discover the value of local cultural heritage and provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment to local residents and tourists.


The program, conducted with various themes each time, started with the first theme, "Jisandong Tumuli Snap Tour." Visitors took snap photos at pre-installed photo zones with the Jisandong Tumuli as the background, and the printed photos were gifted to the tourists, allowing them to remember Goryeong more specially.


In addition, various experiential programs such as Gayageum experience, Ironware blacksmith workshop experience, petroglyph experience, and strawberry beverage experience were linked and conducted.


Besides this theme, the Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage Project will continue with various themed programs such as Sunset Tour, History Tour, and Hiking Trip, aiming to further promote Daegaya's taste (味), beauty (美), excitement (興), power (力), and history (史) through the project.


Gwak Yong-hwan, the governor of Goryeong-gun, said, "As the capital of Daegaya, we will develop various programs utilizing Goryeong's cultural heritage, which lasted for 520 years in ancient history, to provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment to residents and tourists and strive to enhance Goryeong's status as a cultural and tourism city."
