"Children's 'Secret Base', Adults' 'Innocence Recovery': Legoland Hotel Opening in July (Comprehensive)" Phil Royle, President of Legoland Korea Resort, is explaining the facilities of Legoland Hotel at a media event held on the 16th at Legoland Hotel in Chuncheon, Gangwon.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] "We wanted to evoke the feeling of a 'secret base' that we always admired in childhood. From the moment children enter the hotel until they fall asleep in the bunk beds, we hope they feel as if they have their own 'secret base,' and for adults, we hope it becomes a precious experience to regain the innocence they once forgot."

Legoland Korea, the country's first global theme park, is set to open the Legoland Hotel next month. Phil Royle, President of Legoland Korea Resort, said at a media event held on the 16th at the Legoland Hotel in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, "Following the theme park that opened on May 5th, we are now introducing the Legoland Hotel, which will offer an even more expanded Lego experience for children and adults alike." He added, "We hope visitors to Legoland enjoy rides and attractions in the theme park during the day, and in the evening, use the various programs and facilities throughout the hotel to create meaningful memories with their families."

The Legoland Hotel, immediately noticeable upon entering Legoland Korea Resort, primarily targets families with children aged 2 to 12. The hotel consists of four floors above ground and has a total of 154 rooms. The exterior is designed to look as if it is entirely made of Lego bricks. At the entrance, children are greeted by a large mascot made of Lego bricks, Lego picture frames, and Lego chandeliers. While adults check in, children can engage in play activities such as creating simple Lego models with bricks available in the lobby.

The rooms are themed around four popular Lego series: Friends, Ninjago, Pirates, and Kingdom. Depending on size and location, rooms are categorized as Premium, Suite, or Deluxe Suite. Upon entering a room, guests first encounter a children’s area equipped with bunk beds, a TV, and Lego bricks. Passing through a themed bathroom leads to a shared bedroom area.

The Legoland Hotel welcomes guests with a 'Treasure Hunt' event that families can enjoy together. This event has been a beloved program at Legoland Hotels worldwide for many years. The 'Treasure Hunt,' available in all rooms, involves finding various hidden clues within the room to solve quizzes. By answering the quizzes correctly, guests can unlock the password to a treasure chest in the room and receive Lego gifts prepared inside.

Seven 'accessible rooms' including suites are also available. These rooms feature no thresholds at bathroom doors to ease movement, safety bars installed in showers and toilets, and shower chairs for convenience.

The hotel’s first floor serves as the lobby area for check-in and check-out. After checking in, guests can take the 'Disco Elevator,' which plays lively music during the ride, to reach their rooms. Legoland stated, "To provide continuous enjoyment for visitors even when moving to rooms or other facilities, we introduced the Disco Elevator and corridors that extend the room themes." A 'Lego Display Case' located in a corner of the first floor will exhibit works selected from monthly contests hosted by the Legoland Hotel.

Additionally, the second floor houses amenities such as a toddler pool called 'Water Play,' a play area named 'Adventure Play' featuring rides themed with popular Lego series, and a souvenir shop called 'Mini Big Shop.' Dining options include the 'Bricks Family Restaurant,' serving breakfast and dinner, and the lounge bar 'Skyline Bar.'

The lounge bar operates from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On the second floor, visitors can also experience the 'Creative Workshop,' an educational space where Lego Master Builders personally teach children how to assemble Lego bricks. The workshop runs five sessions daily, each lasting 30 minutes, with a maximum of 16 participants per session.
