PeopleBio-Hanaro Medical Foundation Launch Early Screening Service for Alzheimer's Disease

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] PeopleBioPeopleBio (CEO Kang Sungmin), a specialized company in blood-based early diagnosis of degenerative brain diseases, announced on the 16th that it has started providing early screening services for Alzheimer's disease at the Hanaro Medical Foundation Screening Center from this month.

Hanaro Medical Foundation originated from the Seoul Clinical Pathology Center (currently Seoul Medical Science Research Institute), the first diagnostic testing consignment institution in Korea established in 1983, and has led the health screening market as a pioneer in comprehensive health checkups in Korea since 2000. As a professional screening center conducting over 2,000 corporate and individual health checkups annually with more than 300,000 examinees, it received the highest grade (general screening category) in the third cycle evaluation of national health screening institutions announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2021.

PeopleBio presents blood testing for Alzheimer's disease as the starting point for managing Alzheimer's disease. CEO Kang Sungmin of PeopleBio said, “We are pleased to provide early screening services for Alzheimer's disease through Hanaro Medical Foundation, one of the best health screening centers in Korea,” adding, “Our goal is to offer solutions in all areas of Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, management, and treatment by developing care methods such as digital diagnosis and digital therapy beyond blood tests, as well as discovering new drug candidate substances.”
