Korea Exchange Signs MOU with Pukyong National University and Dongseo University for Derivatives and Finance Education

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Exchange announced on the 15th that it has signed a business agreement for industry-academia cooperation between Pukyong National University and Dongseo University.

This business agreement was established with the purpose of strengthening financial education infrastructure to nurture talent in the financial new industry sector, reflecting the characteristics of the international financial innovation city, Busan region.

Through this agreement, the three institutions plan to lay the foundation for expanding exchanges in education and research on finance and derivatives products, and to continuously strengthen mutual cooperation.

The three institutions intend to foster specialized personnel in the Busan region related to digital financial engineering, support research and cooperative projects, hold joint academic conferences, and provide listing briefings and customized consulting for innovative growth companies within universities. They also plan to operate industry-academia linked educational programs to contribute to the development of the Busan region and the strengthening of the financial education base.

Son Byung-doo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, said, “We will actively support Busan to establish itself as an international financial hub,” and added, “As a member of the Busan regional community, we will continue necessary efforts such as industry-academia cooperation for regional development.”
