"Until Walkerhill's 10 Restaurants' Customers Taste Them All" Walkerhill Launches Premium Meal Kit Market Three meal kits released by Walkerhill on the 14th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Walkerhill Hotel & Resort introduced three new premium meal kits on the 14th. Walkerhill expressed its ambition to expand distribution channels so that customers can experience the hotel’s restaurants anywhere, and to sequentially launch signature products from its 10 Walkerhill restaurants.

Jo Yoon-dong, Executive Director of Walkerhill’s External Business Division, held a press conference at Walkerhill Hotel in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the same day, stating, “We will continue to introduce signature products from about 10 Walkerhill restaurants. We are currently negotiating to expand distribution channels. By increasing distribution routes, we aim to present Walkerhill meal kits to more customers.”

Executive Director Jo emphasized, “Rather than focusing on immediate sales, we will concentrate on promoting the Walkerhill brand experience. We estimate that the provisional sales of previously released Walkerhill products such as gomtang and kimchi have exceeded 10 billion KRW. Since these meal kits are newly launched, the focus will be on raising awareness of Walkerhill rather than sales.”

In the following Q&A session, when asked if Walkerhill has a strategy to secure a leading position in the meal kit market, he replied, “We avoid mass competition. Our goal is to convey the unique elements of the Walkerhill brand amid many competitors in the market. The meal kit market should now aim for qualitative growth rather than quantity.”

He added that they will seek ways to widely promote the Walkerhill experience to the public by expanding distribution channels in the future. Executive Director Jo said, “Currently, meal kits are sold through Walkerhill, but since existing meal kits such as galbitang and yukgaejang are also sold on Market Kurly, we are making efforts to increase channels. Negotiations are ongoing.”

The meal kits released by Walkerhill on this day include three types: Signature Sirloin Steak, Truffle White Ragu Pasta, and Shrimp Bisque Risotto. The steak is priced at 29,900 KRW, and the pasta and risotto are priced at 19,900 KRW each.
