[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS25 announced on the 14th that it will give away limited edition shopper bags made from banners as gifts to customers who purchase eco-friendly wine.
The shopper bags are made from discarded banners that were used in GS25 stores to promote events. They were produced in collaboration with the upcycling brand Nookak, which creates various fashion items from tents and tire tubes, in a limited edition of 300. The bags maximize the diverse colors of the banners and include pockets inside to store items such as mobile phones and wallets.
The eligible product for the gift is the eco-friendly wine Two Hands Bellas Garden Shiraz. Customers can join the Wine25 Plus membership through the GS25 My Fridge application and purchase the Two Hands Bellas Garden Nookak Shopper Bag package. The wine can be picked up at the designated convenience store on the specified date, and the shopper bags will be shipped sequentially in the second week of next month.
A GS Retail official said, “This is a very special attempt to combine upcycling with a limited edition gift that is hard to obtain even if you want to buy it,” adding, “We expect it to receive great response especially from MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers who actively express their beliefs and tastes through shopping.”
