Women Venture Association Forms ESG Advisory Group to Create Win-Win Opportunities with Large and Mid-Sized Companies

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Women Venture Association has formed an advisory group to respond to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and is seeking opportunities for co-growth with large and medium-sized enterprises.

On the 13th, the Women Venture Association held an appointment ceremony at Tipstown in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, establishing an advisory group to strategically respond to the recently spreading ESG management.

The ESG advisory group was launched to contribute to South Korea's mid- to long-term economic growth and social development by expanding the role based on women's innovativeness.

The advisory group consists of three members: Lee Jun-hee, Head of the ESG Center Strategy Group at Jipyung Law Firm; Lee Ok-hyung, Executive Director of the New Growth Strategy Investment Office at Eugene Investment & Securities; and Kim Sung-hoon, Chief Attorney at Mission Law Firm. Based on the expertise and know-how of the members, the group will perform advisory functions on key ESG-related matters.

Along with the ESG advisory group, the association plans to establish directions for activating private-led women's initiatives, develop various programs, and expand domestic and international partnerships.

By serving as a platform connecting ESG management activities of large and medium-sized enterprises with women ventures and startups, it aims to create opportunities for mutual growth and co-prosperity, supporting innovative growth and global expansion.

Education sessions and briefings for creating an ESG industrial ecosystem will also be held to support the growth roadmap of women venture entrepreneurs. Efforts will be made to nurture future generations through programs fostering youth entrepreneurship.

Kim Bun-hee, President of the Women Venture Association, stated, "We hope the global trend of ESG management will have a positive impact on the development of the women venture industry," adding, "The association will continue to strive for the growth of women ventures and startups by leveraging the knowledge and experience of the ESG advisory group."
