[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, is launching a regional tourism resource linkage program called 'Haengjuga Meets Peace.'

According to the city on the 13th, 'Haengjuga Meets Peace' was selected for the DMZ Peace Trail rest area operation project, which is part of the Korea Dulle-gil, the longest domestic walking travel route, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.

'Haengjuga Meets Peace' will be held a total of 48 times every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the 17th until November 13th.

Participants can experience the ecology, history, and peace of the Han River estuary in Goyang-si while accompanied by ecological experts, and enjoy the scenery of the Han River by riding a three-person peace bicycle, which is pedaled by a rider, at the newly established Goyang Han River Peace Park.

In particular, the 'Han River Visitor Center,' which remodeled the Haengju military barracks and opened it as a citizen space in March, provides tourists with a resting place and tourism information. A diorama showing the Han River area around Haengju has also been prepared.

Reservations can be made from today through the Interpark Ticket app for up to 10 people per day on a first-come, first-served basis, and the participation fee is 5,000 KRW per person.

A city official stated, "Tourism infrastructure along the Han River, such as Daedeok Ecological Park, Goyang Han River Peace Park, and the DMZ Peace Trail walking course, has been expanded," adding, "We will continue to discover tourism programs that widely promote Goyang-si's tourist attractions and local culture and that everyone can enjoy together."
