Baemin "Serving Robots, Reduced Usage Burden"

Latest Serving Robot 'Dilly S' Expands Options with Installment, Rental, and Lump-Sum Purchase Choices

Baemin "Serving Robots, Reduced Usage Burden"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 13th that they have launched a new rental product for the serving robot 'Dilly Plate S' (hereinafter Dilly S).

The newly introduced rental product lowers the rental fee to about 340,000 KRW per month (with a 36-month contract) and allows customers to decide whether to purchase the robot at the end of the contract. This is advantageous for business owners who want to use the robot long-term compared to existing products. Using this product also makes purchasing the robot more affordable. At the end of the contract, customers can permanently own the robot by paying only 3 million KRW.

A product that allows purchasing the robot in installments is also available. If customers use the 450,000 KRW monthly rental product with a 36-month contract, ownership of the robot is transferred upon full payment. Restaurants that do not wish to use the rental product and want to purchase the robot can also buy it with a lump-sum payment.

A product called 'Dilly Care' that guarantees stable maintenance and repair of the robot has also been introduced. When renting or purchasing Dilly S, customers can receive robot quality assurance, technical support solutions, and more for 40,000 to 50,000 KRW per month. Subscription and purchase of the Dilly S rental product can be done through the Baemin serving robot website or call center.

Since first launching the serving robot rental service in 2019, Baemin has supplied over 630 serving robots to more than 500 stores nationwide. The serving robots installed in stores perform about 2,000 serving tasks per month, averaging 6 hours per day.

Kim Min-su, head of the serving robot business at Woowa Brothers, said, "We have diversified rental products so that serving robots can be used more affordably and according to the store's circumstances and situation," adding, "We will do our best to help restaurant operations and create a convenient dining environment with Baemin's serving robots."
