[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is stepping up to support college entrance exam preparation to help youth design a bright future.

Eunpyeong-gu announced that it will operate 'College Entrance Exam Briefings' and '1-on-1 Entrance Exam Consultations' on an ongoing basis from the 21st through the end of the year for examinees and parents in the Eunpyeong area.

The program was prepared in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Education Research Information Center. It aims to provide accurate and timely information to examinees and parents who may be confused by the diversified college entrance system and elective curriculum, supporting them to establish systematic study strategies.

Currently scheduled programs include two 'College Entrance Exam Briefings' held in June and July, and a total of eight '1-on-1 Entrance Exam Consultations' operated in July and August.

The briefing sessions will be held on the 21st with the theme "Preparation for Changes in the 2024-2025 College Entrance Examination," and on July 23 with the themes "Understanding the 2023 College Entrance Early Admission" and "Understanding the Comprehensive Student Record Screening." Lecturers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's University Admission Guidance Support Team and admissions officers from Dongguk University will be invited to conduct the briefings at the Eunpyeong-gu Office main conference room.

The '1-on-1 Entrance Exam Consultations' will be operated once a week starting next month through counseling teachers belonging to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's University Admission Guidance Support Team, providing personalized counseling related to career, admission, entrance exams, and study.

Applications for this program are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 14th and can be submitted via the Eunpyeong Baeum Moa website and mobile app. In addition to the programs scheduled for June to August, the program will be operated on an ongoing basis until the end of the year. For further inquiries, please refer to the Eunpyeong Baeum Moa website or contact the Citizen Education Division of the district office.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, "We hope to provide timely information on the rapidly changing entrance exam system through high-quality public education-based entrance exam programs for examinees and parents," adding, "We expect this to be a valuable time to enhance students' capabilities in exploring their career and academic paths."
