In Chilgok, Gyeongbuk, a man in his 20s kills his aunt and uncle, then commits suicide

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Three people were found dead in a detached house in Chilgok, Gyeongbuk, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to the Chilgok Police Station on the 12th, at around 4:09 a.m. that day, a man in his 20s and a couple in their 50s were found dead in a detached house in Waegwan-eup, Chilgok-gun.

The man in his 20s was found hanging on the rooftop of the house, while the couple in their 50s were found stabbed to death inside the house.

The police believe that nephew A (29) stabbed and killed his aunt B (55) and uncle C (56) with a weapon before taking his own life.

The aunt and uncle had reportedly come to help with farm work at the house of their elderly mother living alone in Chilgok on the 11th.

A police official stated, "We are investigating the detailed circumstances by interviewing witnesses and relatives."
