LG Uplus Launches Internet Plan for 20s Starting at Monthly 10,000 KRW

Free Previous Installation Fee... Up to 1 Year Suspension Possible
Excluding Wi-Fi... Price Reduced by 4,400 Won Compared to Before

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] LG Uplus announced on the 12th that it has launched a dedicated internet plan for single-person households in their 20s. Customers can use the internet service at a minimum monthly fee of around 10,000 KRW.

The new internet plans available for subscription on LG Uplus.com consist of three options: ▲100M (19,800 KRW/month) ▲500M (26,400 KRW/month) ▲1G (33,000 KRW/month). The monthly fee has been reduced by about 4,400 KRW by excluding the Wi-Fi benefits that were previously included in the basic internet plans.

Customers in their 20s can use the internet service on a yearly basis without a long-term contract. If they move during the contract period due to relocation, they are eligible for a one-time free relocation installation fee, and considering the lifestyle patterns of people in their 20s such as regular vacations or leaves of absence, the service can be temporarily suspended for up to one year.

Conversely, customers who need both internet and Wi-Fi simultaneously can subscribe to the existing Direct plan, which includes Giga Wi-Fi as a basic component.

Kang Jin-wook, Head of Digital Commerce Business at LG Uplus, said, "We have newly introduced an exclusive plan on the U+ official online store that allows customers to use stable internet services at a reasonable cost to expand their choices."

Meanwhile, LG Uplus is also holding a launch event for the new Direct plans. Until the 9th of next month, all subscribers to the Direct plans will receive one of three types of single-living supplies and a 5% discount on moving costs usable at Logen Moving Service.
