Seoul 50 Plus Foundation Partners with Technical Training Center to Expand Employment and Entrepreneurship Support for Middle-Aged Adults

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced on the 13th that it will expand technical education courses in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Technical Training Center to support career redesign and employment/startups for the 50+ generation.

For students, a step-by-step education process is conducted, such as completing basic education at the 50 Plus Campus followed by specialized training at the Technical Training Center.

Students who wish to redesign their careers and pursue employment or startups through professional technical education can explore their career paths in advance through an introductory course at the 50 Plus Campus and then apply for specialized courses at the Technical Training Center. Additionally, through cooperative linked education between the 50 Plus Campus and the Technical Training Center, specialized education tailored to the characteristics of both the campus and the training center is provided.

Besides the education courses, various cooperative projects will also be promoted, such as operating a "visiting counseling" service at the 50 Plus Campus for middle-aged and older students of the Technical Training Center.

Lee Sung-soo, Head of Business Operations at the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, "Through the cooperation of the two institutions, we will be able to provide vocational training education necessary for career redesign of the 50+ generation more efficiently," adding, "Going forward, the foundation will further expand specialized education courses that can provide practical help in broadening employment and startup opportunities for the 50+ generation."
