Gwangju-Seoul Recreational Athletes Reunite After 3 Years

Gwangju Sports Council Welcomes Athletes Participating in 'Gwangju-Seoul Sports Friendship Exchange'

According to the Gwangju Metropolitan City Sports Council (Chairman Lee Sangdong) on the 10th, more than 130 amateur athletes participated in the Gwangju-Seoul sports friendship exchange held in Gwangju for two days starting the day before, competing in three sports: baseball, squash, and park golf.

At the welcoming event for the Seoul team, Lee Sangdong, Chairman of the Gwangju Sports Council, Park Wonha, Chairman of the Seoul Sports Council, along with representatives from both sports councils, sports organizations, and officials from Gwangju and Seoul attended to encourage the athletes.

Chairman Lee Sangdong said, “The Gwangju-Seoul friendship exchange, which has continued since 2017, has forged strong bonds of friendship among athletes from both cities,” and added, “I hope to meet again in good health at next year’s friendship exchange to be held in Seoul.”
