[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Doosan Group celebrated its 126th anniversary by uniting around its 'Change DNA.' The group credits the spirit of 'discovering next-generation growth engines' that supports this DNA as the secret to its longevity. Through discovering new businesses in energy, industrial machinery, and semiconductors, the group is steadily cultivating its growth engines.

Doosan's strength lies in its rich energy portfolio, including hydrogen, offshore wind power, and nuclear energy. In 2020, Doosan Fuel Cell supplied 114 fuel cells to the world's first byproduct hydrogen fuel cell power plant, the 'Daesan Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power Plant.' Doosan Enerbility is currently developing a hydrogen combustion burner for a 5MW-class hydrogen gas turbine. Regarding offshore wind power, the prototype of an 8MW-class offshore wind turbine, developed as a national project, has recently been installed, and international certification is expected to be obtained within this year.

Doosan Bobcat, responsible for industrial machinery, recorded its best performance since its founding last year. It is leading the smart and eco-friendly construction machinery industry. The recently unveiled world-first fully electric compact track loader 'T7X' replaces all driving components with electric ones, maximizing energy efficiency and receiving high praise as an eco-friendly product in the industry.

In semiconductors and advanced IT, the group attracted significant attention by deciding to acquire Tesna, the top semiconductor testing company in Korea, at the board meeting on March 8. Tesna specializes in testing system semiconductor products such as application processors (AP) and camera image sensors (CIS).

Doosan's goal is to enhance Tesna's competitiveness and secure advanced packaging technology in the mid to long term to transform it into a specialized semiconductor post-processing company, thereby becoming a core company in Korea's system semiconductor ecosystem.
