[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] A fire broke out in a building near the Daegu District Court in Suseong-gu, Daegu, resulting in multiple casualties, including 7 deaths.

According to the Daegu Fire Safety Headquarters, at around 10:55 a.m. on the 9th, a report was received of black smoke and an explosion sound coming from the 2nd floor of a 7-story building in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu.

The fire department deployed 50 vehicles and 160 personnel and extinguished the fire within 22 minutes.

The fire caused an emergency evacuation of people inside the building, and as a result of an internal search, 7 fatalities and approximately 46 injuries were reported.

A police official stated, "Considering that the complainant had expressed dissatisfaction at the time of the fire, we are investigating the possibility of arson."
