[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On June 6th, Memorial Day, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy with rain nationwide.

Due to the influence of a low-pressure trough, rain that was falling in northern Gyeonggi and northwestern Gangwon Yeongseo will expand to Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, inland Jeonbuk, and Gyeongsang region.

Expected precipitation amounts are 50?100mm in Gangwon Yeongdong, 20?60mm in northern Gangwon Yeongseo, northern Gyeongbuk East Coast, and northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and 5?20mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi (excluding northeastern Gyeonggi), Chungcheong region, Jeonbuk, and the five western islands.

The morning low temperature is forecast to be 15?18°C, and the daytime high temperature 16?27°C.

For the time being, daytime temperatures in Gangwon Yeongdong, northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk East Coast will remain around 20°C.

In areas where rain is falling, dense fog with visibility around 200 meters may occur, so caution is advised for traffic safety on mountain roads or tunnels in the northern regions.

Sea waves will be 1.5?4.5m in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5?1.5m in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5?3.0m in the South Sea coastal waters.

Wave heights in the inner offshore waters (offshore waters about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 1.5?5.0m in the East Sea, 0.5?3.0m in the West Sea, and 1.0?3.0m in the South Sea.

In the central West Sea, there may be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder and lightning, so ships navigating or fishing should exercise caution.
