Models are showcasing products for the 'Homeplus 5-Day Market' event at Homeplus Gangseo Branch in Deungchon-dong, Seoul.

With the domestic consumer price inflation rate rising to the mid-5% range for the first time in over 14 years, major supermarkets have simultaneously launched price stabilization events amid soaring prices. Especially during the holiday period including Memorial Day, they are attracting consumers with 1+1 deals and half-price discounts on outing snacks and more.

According to the distribution industry on the 4th, Emart is holding the 'e-Day Special Price' event from the 4th to the 6th during the holiday period to reduce the burden of grocery prices and is offering discounts on outing snacks. Emart has prepared various products with 1+1 and up to 50% discounts during this period. For camping and outing snacks, Korean beef, pork belly, and pork neck are discounted up to 50% on specific days, and the popular "5 Camping Side Dishes (Mokwoochon BIG Brunch Buerst, Daelim Kravia 2 types, Dongwon Barun Fish Cake Assortment 2 types)" are offered as 1+1 deals. Popular Kitchen Deli event products are discounted 20% when accumulating Shinsegae points, and "Sushi-e Choice Sushi (18 pieces)" and "Amazing Yubu Sushi (9 pieces)" are sold at event prices.

All items of 'Comex Icebox, Cooler Bag, Ice Pack' are discounted by 40%, and 'Sun Care' event products are discounted up to 50%. As representative products for price stabilization, 'Imat Rice (10kg, domestic)' is offered at a 6,000 KRW discount when accumulating Shinsegae points, and 'Bam Goguma (2kg)' is prepared as a 1+1 event. Daily necessities such as detergent, fabric softener, hair treatment, facial cleansing, toothbrushes, and wet wipes are 50% off when purchasing two event products. Representative items include all 'Persil, P&G, Riqua, Downy laundry detergents' and 'Downy fabric softener (2ℓ, 2.6ℓ)'. Home appliances can also be purchased at discounted prices when paying with event cards. Popular processed food events offer special prices for one or two days this weekend.

Meanwhile, Traders is also running discount events until the 5th, lowering prices on various grocery items and summer products. When applying both the Traders affiliated Samsung Card and Emart application (app) coupons simultaneously, 'Grade 1 or higher domestic chilled pork belly retail pack' is discounted by 5,000 KRW limited to two packs per person. 'Maxim Mocha Gold Mix (180×2 packs)' is also discounted by 4,000 KRW.

Homeplus is also holding the 'Homeplus 5-Day Market' until the 6th and contributing to price stabilization. As part of the price stabilization project, this event offers discounts of up to 50% on everything from groceries to daily necessities to ease the increased grocery price burden.

On the 4th, fresh food will be offered at optimal prices for My Homeplus membership members. Australian grain-fed chuck eye roll is offered at a 40% discount per 100g, Seongju melons from Fresh Farm at a 50% discount per 1.5kg, and five extra-large abalones from Wando at a 50% discount. Jeju silver cutlassfish special size, white shrimp and black tiger shrimp, and Cheorwon Odae rice 10kg are also offered at event prices. Crisp tadagi cucumbers (5 pieces) are offered at half price limited to 50,000 packs.

When paying with event cards, Noeul melon and house tangerines are sold at a 3,000 KRW discount, and all types of beef jerky, popular as snacks for children and drinking companions, are offered at up to 50% discount. About 20 types of biscuits and snacks, 30 types of iced tea, and Da Vinci natural pasture pizza cheese 1kg are available as 1+1 products. Over 70 types of Homeplus Signature cookware are 30% off when purchasing two or more.

Throughout the event period, many products offer up to 50% discounts through member special prices, event card discounts, and 1+1 events. For example, member special price products include about 30 types of gochujang, doenjang, and ssamjang at 50% off. Cleaned squid can be purchased at a 40% discount when buying four pieces. Chicken for family braised chicken stew (1.2kg) is offered at a 30% discount.

Even non-members can get a 3,000 KRW discount each when purchasing all watermelon products and Blanc green grapes with event cards. Chinese and meat sauces, Ottogi Yeolramandu, Wellgreen Sweets fruit drinks (3 types), cleaning detergents (10 types), Energizer batteries (4 types), all cat litter products, and four types of Bon handmade snacks are available as 1+1 deals.

Lotte Mart is running various events along with meat discount sales until the 8th to stabilize national prices. All Grade 1 Korean beef products, which reduce distribution stages through direct purchase, are sold at a 30% discount. Grade 1 Korean beef sirloin (100g, chilled) is prepared for L.POINT members at around 7,000 KRW. Besides this, L.POINT members can purchase Grade 1 Korean beef grilling and meat cuts such as tenderloin, striploin, skirt meat, and chuck flap tail at a 30% discount.

Domestic pork discount events are also underway. During the event period, domestic pork belly and pork neck (100g, chilled) are sold at around 2,500 KRW each, and 'Double-sided scored pork neck roast (1kg)' is sold at a 6,000 KRW discount for L.POINT members. Australian beef is sold at up to 50% discount, and a reusable large shopping bag giveaway event is also held. As a representative product, 'grain-fed foreleg (100g, chilled, Australian)' suitable for various dishes such as bulgogi, soup cuts, low-fat steak, and shabu-shabu is available at a 50% discount when paying with event cards. On Lotte On, until the 8th, various meats including beef, pork, chicken, and smoked duck are sold at up to 50% discount.
