First Korean Culinary Manuscript 'Eumsik Dimibang' Transmission Education
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, is recruiting students for the Eumsik Dimibang Transmission Class starting from June this year, targeting local residents interested in Joseon Dynasty cuisine recorded in Korea's first Hangul cookbook, 'Eumsik Dimibang.'
The 'Eumsik Dimibang Transmission Class' aims to train students in the culinary skills of Eumsik Dimibang table setting dishes to ensure the stable operation of the Eumsik Dimibang Experience Center, and plans to recruit about 30 students this year.
The transmission class program consists of a total of 22 lectures, including traditional food theory lectures from the 13th generation matron of the Jaeryeong Lee clan, Seokgye Gongpa, table setting for government officials and minor officials, and theory and practice of food plating conducted by invited external instructors.
The program will conclude with a cooking contest and comprehensive evaluation of Eumsik Dimibang dishes.
Kim Geun-ho, Director of the Cultural Facilities Project Office, said, "Through the Eumsik Dimibang Transmission Class, we will secure and nurture transmitters of Eumsik Dimibang, improve the quality of the Eumsik Dimibang Experience Center's operation, and do our best to continue the legacy of the region's traditional cultural assets."
