[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] LG Electronics announced on the 1st that it will introduce the LG OLED TV, which breaks away from the standardized existing TV designs and fixed ideas about installation spaces, allowing consumers to experience a new lifestyle.
The new LG OLED Objet Collection (model name: LX1) is a next-generation OLED TV that combines the highly acclaimed LG OLED evo, known for its best-in-class picture quality, with the distinctive spatial interior sensibility of the Objet Collection. When viewed from the side, the U-shaped recessed space on the back of the TV can be used like a bookshelf or to display interior accessories such as postcards and photos, allowing customers to freely decorate.
To address customers’ inconvenience with complicated devices and cables around the TV, LG Electronics applied a customized storage space. By using the detachable accessory storage box on the back of the TV, users can store set-top boxes, power strips, and other peripheral devices. Additionally, cables can be inserted inside the TV stand legs, keeping the area around the TV neat and tidy.
While maintaining the thin design unique to OLED that emits light by itself without a backlight, premium beige fabric material was applied to both the front and back of the product. Even when viewed from behind, the TV looks neatly organized, breaking the stereotype that TVs must be installed right against the wall.
LG Electronics will unveil this product for the first time at the global design exhibition ‘Milan Design Week 2022,’ starting on the 6th local time. In collaboration with the Dutch premium lifestyle brand ‘Moooi,’ LG plans to showcase a home lifestyle space where uniquely designed furniture, lighting, and interior accessories harmonize with the LG OLED Objet Collection.
Park Hyung-se, head of LG Electronics’ HE Business Division, said, “Through the LG OLED Objet Collection, which offers not only picture quality but also design that enhances the dignity of the space, we will provide customers with a new lifestyle experience.”
