[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Homeplus will hold a milk discount event on June 1st in celebration of World Milk Day.
According to Homeplus on the 31st, this discount event aims to revitalize the sluggish milk consumption market and reduce the burden of grocery prices for customers.
World Milk Day was proclaimed in 2001 by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to promote the value of milk and encourage milk consumption.
First, as a ‘Shocking Special Price’ event, on June 1st only, about 50 types of white milk including Seoul Milk (1ℓ), Maeil Easily Digestible Milk (930㎖), and Pasteur Fresh Milk (900㎖) will be offered at a 10% discount for My Homeplus membership holders.
Additionally, as part of the ‘Price Stabilization Project,’ Homeplus will offer its carefully selected signature private brand product, ‘Homeplus Signature 1A Milk (930㎖),’ for 1,980 won.
Hwang Hyunju, buyer of the Fresh Processing Team at Homeplus, said, “In celebration of World Milk Day, we have prepared various products to provide high-quality milk at affordable prices,” adding, “We will strive to benefit both consumers and the dairy industry by promoting milk consumption.”
