New Book Launch Event Expected Early Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min is reportedly set to release a new book soon and hold a publication event in early next month.

On the 29th, Yoo introduced his upcoming book titled "Clash with the Instinct of a Beast" on his SNS. According to acquaintances, Yoo had been preparing for this book for a long time.

The book's title, starting with the instinct of a beast, is said to have originated from a story Yoo once heard from a mentor in the past.

In the epilogue of his book, Yoo explained, "When you find yourself in a difficult situation, feeling lost and helpless, abandoned alone in a field with no one beside you and feeling lonely, you should summon the wild beast-like instinct within your body and ask it for guidance in life." He added, "The guide that leads you is sometimes more important than anyone else's advice?it's your own primal and instinctive desire within."

He emphasized, "That is the way to love yourself, to live the one and only life without regrets as you wish, and to take responsibility for it."

The book spans a total of 400 pages. It includes stories from Yoo's school days as well as his time in party politics. Additionally, it covers topics related to economics and welfare, which are Yoo's specialties as an economist and former member of the Korea Development Institute (KDI).
