[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 29th, Park Jihyun, Co-Chair of the Emergency Response Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated, "I deeply thank Co-Chair Yoon Hojung and the committee members for accepting the innovation plan." This appears to be an expression of gratitude following the party's emergency meeting the previous night, where an apology and a message promising reform were issued.

On the same day in the afternoon, Chair Park announced via Facebook, "Yesterday, our party leadership accepted all five innovation proposals I suggested."

The day before, the Emergency Response Committee promised to implement the reform tasks proposed by Chair Park, opting for a compromise plan to build consensus within the party after the election and then proceed accordingly.

Chair Park emphasized, "The party has resolved to create and implement democratic procedures and structures involving party members with voting rights, youth members, delegates, regional committee heads, and lawmakers after the election. This establishes the direction for the Democratic Party to be reborn as a mass party trusted by the public. It has been 76 days since I was appointed as co-chair to lead the party's reform."

He added, "I sincerely apologize again to our party candidates who must have been anxious due to internal conflicts surrounding the party's innovation," and pledged, "We will mobilize all party capabilities and do our best with one heart and one mind in the local elections."

Addressing the public, he appealed, "We have restarted our voyage toward a new future. Please choose our Democratic Party candidates running in the local elections so that we can become a party loved by the people through thorough reflection and definite innovation."

He also stated, "As promised, we will create a 'younger Democratic Party, a stricter Democratic Party, a Democratic Party that keeps promises, a Democratic Party that breaks away from violent fandom, and a Democratic Party preparing for the future.' We will discard old vested interests and focus solely on the people. We will definitely keep our promises."
