Ongoing Until September 30
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT announced on the 29th that it will hold an event offering the 'Caller Information Notifier' service free of charge for one month to public institutions such as local governments and government offices nationwide until September 30.
KT explained that this event was prepared to support public institutions in providing more reliable services to the public.
If public institutions subscribe to KT's Caller Information Notifier service by September, they can enjoy a one-month free trial. The function to display their own logo and images symbolizing local governments and government offices can also be used at no additional cost.
The Caller Information Notifier is an additional service that displays the caller's pre-set organization name on the recipient's mobile phone screen when a KT landline customer calls a mobile phone. When subscribing to the service, KT conducts a thorough survey of the target phone numbers and links the institution names, ensuring high reliability. It can increase the success rate of calls with customers who do not accept 070 numbers, and the organization name also appears in missed call records.
According to KT, 35 local governments nationwide, including Ulleung-gun Office, Gangneung City Hall, Icheon City Hall, Anseong City Hall, and Jeju City Hall, as well as 38 government offices such as the Korea Coast Guard and Korea Rural Community Corporation, have introduced and are using the Caller Information Notifier service.
