Meeting with Helio City Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Park Seong-su, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Songpa District Mayor, held meetings with residents and organizations in the Songpa area to present the vision for the 8th local government term.

On the 27th, Candidate Park held a meeting with residents of Helio City Apartments at his campaign office. At this meeting, residents raised local issues such as the utilization of the Book Museum, and Candidate Park explained improvement plans including ▲ construction of large-scale cultural and sports facilities on the parking lot site of Songpa Book Museum ▲ installation of escalators in the passage connecting Songpa Station to Helio City commercial area ▲ establishment of infant care facilities and kids centers utilizing the Silver Care Center site ▲ regular meetings between the district mayor and parent associations to resolve educational issues ▲ immediate implementation of bird collision prevention film attachment on soundproof walls. These are also part of Mayor Park’s local pledges.

Earlier, on the 17th, he also held a parent meeting at Parkrio Apartments. During the dialogue with residents, Candidate Park announced plans to reduce property tax by lowering the standard tax rate and actively promote easing of comprehensive real estate tax. He conveyed a strong commitment to continuously promote the establishment of new middle schools in close cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and to revitalize children’s English libraries.

On the 18th, Candidate Park also held a meeting with representatives of residents from Olympic Family Town Apartments, explaining tailored local pledges such as the prompt promotion of Olympic Family Apartment reconstruction, reduction of property tax and easing of comprehensive real estate tax, rerouting of the Wirye Sinsa Line via Songpa-daero, and active promotion of Seongnam Airport relocation, expressing strong determination.

In addition, Candidate Park held meetings with residents of Ogeum Hyundai Apartments, the Rose Apartment Reconstruction Association, residents of Garak Ssangyong Apartments, representatives of the Garak Market Association, the Garak Market Labor Union Federation, executives of the Chungcheong Association, the Songpa Sports Federation, the Architects Association, the Songpa branch of the Korea Association of Realtors, the Songpa branch of Seoul City Environmental Officers, the Nurses Association, senior citizens, families of persons with disabilities, and others to seek solutions to current issues and explain related pledges.
