[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho will meet with heads of economic organizations for the first time since his inauguration on the 2nd of next month.


According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 27th, Deputy Prime Minister Choo is scheduled to hold a meeting with heads of economic organizations at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd of next month. This meeting is an opportunity to gather opinions from various sectors in establishing the new government's economic policy direction.


Attendees of the meeting include Huh Chang-soo, Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries; Chey Tae-won, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Sohn Kyung-shik, Chairman of the Korea Employers Federation; Koo Ja-yeol, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association; Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business; and Choi Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea Association of Mid-sized Enterprises.


Deputy Prime Minister Choo is also holding a meeting with the chairpersons of the five major financial holding companies on the same day, listening to opinions from various sectors ahead of the announcement of the new government's economic policy next month.
