'Career Transition to the Information Technology (IT) Industry' Talk Concert for Non-Majors and Women with Experience in Other Fields
Sharing Career Transition Experiences of IT Professionals Every Tuesday from May 31 to June 14
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Foundation of Women and Family announced on the 30th that it will hold a "Talk Concert" three times every Tuesday from May 31 to June 14 to allow Seoul citizens to share their experiences entering the "digital technology field" and to support stable career transitions.
According to the employment platform JobKorea, this year, job postings in the "IT Information and Communication" industry and the "IT Internet" job category increased by 50.0% and 41.4%, respectively, compared to 2019. However, the proportion of women in the information and communication technology industry remains at 29.3% of all employees.
At this Talk Concert, active professionals in the information technology (IT) industry will serve as speakers to share their career transition experiences and provide tailored consultations to attendees.
The Talk Concert will be held online in a non-face-to-face format, and any citizen interested in jobs in the digital technology field can apply through the Space Sallim website.
Jung Yeon-jeong, CEO of the Seoul Foundation of Women and Family, said, "The Seoul Foundation of Women and Family supports citizens' professional competency development through various programs within Space Sallim," adding, "We hope this Talk Concert will help individuals explore their aptitudes and enter the digital technology field in step with the changing industrial environment."
