[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Challenge Support Project' to encourage social activity participation and employment support for young people who have given up job seeking until September 21.
This project operates a 1:1 counseling session to boost the motivation for social activity participation and a 2-month (32 hours) customized program to strengthen employment capabilities for young people who have given up job seeking. Upon completion, participants will receive a challenge encouragement fund of 200,000 KRW.
The city plans to select and support a total of 500 people this year. Eligible applicants are young people aged 18 to 39 who have no employment history in the employment insurance database or participation records in education or vocational training from the Ministry of Employment and Labor within the last six months.
Those interested can apply by visiting the Incheon Youth Center Maru (Michuhol-gu) in person or through the website. After a qualification review of up to two weeks, selected candidates can participate in the program.
Meanwhile, among the 382 people who completed this program last year, 53 succeeded in employment or starting a business. According to the Ministry of Employment and Labor's project evaluation, Incheon City was selected as the 'Nationwide No.1 Best Institution.'
