[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwanju] Samsung Seoul Hospital announced on the 27th that Professor Moon Youngwan of the Department of Orthopedics has been elected as the new president of the Korean Knee Society.
The Korean Knee Society was established in 1983 to promote academic development in the field of knee joints within orthopedics and currently has 1,800 members. It is the largest subdivision society among the Korean Orthopedic Association's branches and affiliated organizations, continuously publishing creative research results in leading international journals, thereby striving to establish its global reputation.
President Moon said, "In 2023, the 40th anniversary of the society's founding, we plan to elevate the regular academic conference to an international conference and publish a 40-year history of the society," adding, "We will continue to do our best to have the society's journal indexed in SCIE."
President Moon's term will last for one year starting from May this year.
