[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank announced on the 26th that it conducted volunteer work to help with farm labor in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, together with Daegu Bank.
This volunteer activity, carried out as part of the Dalbit Alliance exchange, through which Gwangju Metropolitan City and Daegu Metropolitan City are promoting win-win projects such as 3D convergence industry, electric vehicles, medical care, and renewable energy, involved about 70 executives and employees including Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, and Lim Seong-hoon, President of Daegu Bank, helping out at a vineyard during the busy farming season.
The Dalbit Alliance rural volunteer activities by Gwangju Bank and Daegu Bank marked their fifth year this year. Since 2015, the two banks have been conducting rural volunteer work back and forth between Jeolla Province and Gyeongsang Province, previously assisting with farm labor in Boseong and Damyang in Jeonnam, as well as Sangju and Gyeongsan in Gyeongbuk.
Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “The Dalbit Alliance rural volunteer activities by Gwangju Bank and Daegu Bank have established themselves as a continuous social contribution project that fosters harmony and friendship among financial professionals in Honam and Yeongnam,” adding, “We will strive to promote mutual exchange and cooperation in various fields such as regional financial services and culture to achieve mutual growth and development.”
