Lawmaker Lee Won-wook began by saying, "An independent candidate is claiming an unfair primary, but as the chairman of the central party's strategic nomination committee, I know the situation better than anyone."

He continued, "The central party's ethics inspection team received four reports during the last local election regarding the cancellation of the nomination of independent candidate Jeong Young-deok, including the involvement of candidate Kim San and his associates and real estate speculation by associates."

Lawmaker Lee explained, "The central party investigated 10 people including candidate Kim San and the whistleblowers, concluded that the reports were factual, and notified the Jeonnam Provincial Party Committee of the decision," emphasizing, "No one, including the party leader and regional committee heads, can interfere or make requests regarding the central party ethics inspection team's work."

Lawmaker Seo Samsuk appealed, "With the Yoon Seok-yeol government, the development of Honam including Muan is seriously concerning," and urged, "Please support candidate Choi Ok-soo so that the Democratic Party can block the unilateral rule of the Yoon Seok-yeol government and protect the development and interests of Muan."

In a supporting speech, Lee Byung-sang, director of the County Gugak Center, and Jeong Young-ho, director of the Jaju Agricultural Research Institute, appealed for support, saying, "Candidate Choi is the most suitable person to understand the hearts of farmers and solve farmers' and agricultural issues."
