Jinju City Holds 'Cultural Heritage Utilization Research Service Results Presentation' Meeting on the Results of the Cultural Heritage Utilization Research Project


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, held the "Jinju Cultural Heritage Utilization Research Service Results Report Meeting" at 3 p.m. on the 25th in the city hall situation room.


The cultural heritage utilization project is a Cultural Heritage Administration-led public contest project based on the principle that "utilization is preservation," discovering the value and meaning of dormant cultural heritage, and integrating it with cultural content to utilize the cultural heritage itself as a living history education site and program-type tourism product.


Among the five fields of cultural heritage utilization projects?vivid cultural heritage, Hyanggyo Seowon, cultural heritage night tours, traditional mountain temples, and old houses & Jonggajip?Jinju City has been selected for the Hyanggyo Seowon cultural heritage utilization project for eight years since 2015, promoted under the supervision of Gaho Seowon. The cultural heritage night tour field, selected for the first time this year, is being entrusted to the Jinju Culture and Tourism Foundation for promotion.


In March, the city initiated this research service to strengthen the competitiveness of the existing cultural heritage utilization projects and to explore ways to expand participation fields in the projects.


At the research service results report meeting, through analysis of Jinju City's cultural heritage status and conditions, tourist and social media analysis, excellent cases from other local governments, and cultural heritage utilization project policy analysis, activation plans for existing projects, new cultural heritage utilization project promotion plans, and cultural heritage utilization tourism product development plans were presented.
