[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is launching a program to train software testing experts who inspect the performance and safety of software (SW) products, targeting women with career experience.

On the 26th, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation signed a "Gyeonggi-do Highly Educated and Highly Skilled Career-Holding Women Software Testing Employment Support Business Agreement" with WiseWires Co., Ltd., a software testing specialist company, at the Yongin Women's Capability Development Center.

This agreement was promoted to cooperate in creating jobs for highly educated and highly skilled career-holding women in the province and to meet the increasing demand for professionals in the software testing field.

According to the agreement, the two organizations will conduct the "Software Testing Expert Training Course" starting from the 21st of next month and will collaborate in areas such as ▲supporting a pool of instructors for course operation ▲field training and employment support ▲priority hiring of outstanding trainees by WiseWires Co., Ltd. ▲supporting the discovery of companies seeking graduates.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Gyeonggi IT Saeil Center website until the 15th of next month. Participants will receive full support for tuition and textbook fees during the two-month training period. Graduates of the training will work as experts who verify the normal operation and bugs of software before release, ensuring the reliability and stability of the products as software testers.

Hong Chun-hee, head of the Women's Capability Development Center, said, "With the increase of various software in daily life and industries in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the importance of the software testing field is rising," adding, "We will plan and operate education in line with the growing demand and take the lead in nurturing talent tailored to companies."

Meanwhile, WiseWires Co., Ltd., established in 2003, is a software testing specialist company providing international standard software testing (ISO/IEC 29119) services.
