[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 26th that "no matter what happens, the supplementary budget bill must be passed tomorrow" in order to execute the second supplementary budget.

At the on-site floor strategy meeting held at the election office of Yoon Hyung-sun, candidate for Gyeyang District, Incheon, Kwon said, "To process it within the May extraordinary session, the plenary session must be held immediately tomorrow."

Kwon said, "The second supplementary budget is the best plan to fulfill promises to the people while minimizing the national financial burden," adding, "There may be disagreements during negotiations between the ruling and opposition parties, but refusing to pass the supplementary budget using this as an excuse is the tyranny of the majority party." He continued, "During the first supplementary budget in February, the Democratic Party insisted on promptly paying 3 million won and staged a show by rushing the passage of the supplementary budget bill at dawn," and said, "Now it is the Democratic Party's turn to cooperate."

He warned that if the supplementary budget bill is not passed, the responsibility lies with the Democratic Party. Kwon emphasized, "The Democratic Party must consider the grassroots public sentiment," and "The People Power Party and the Yoon Seok-yeol administration will definitely keep the promise of 6 million won."
