National Secretary 'Guppi' Now Available on Financial Companies' Mobile Apps... Ministry of the Interior and Safety Signs Business Agreement with 4 Financial Companies


[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] From now on, citizens will be able to conveniently receive 생활밀착형 administrative information from the national secretary Guppi through mobile apps of financial institutions such as banks and card companies.


On the 26th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that on the 27th, it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with four financial companies?KB Kookmin Bank, KB Kookmin Card, Shinhan Bank, and Shinhan Card?at the Government Seoul Office to provide and promote the use of the National Secretary service.


The national secretary 'Guppi' is a service that proactively notifies citizens of various 생활형 administrative information through mobile apps frequently used by the public. The service was launched in March 2021. Currently, one in four citizens uses 'Guppi,' which provides 23 types of notification services across seven fields through three mobile apps: Naver app, KakaoTalk, and Toss.


With this MOU, notification services will be available not only through the existing three mobile apps but also through frequently used financial apps. So far, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been promoting the expansion of private mobile apps by accepting applications from institutions wishing to link services with the national secretary 'Guppi' to allow citizens to use it through more diverse channels.


The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the four financial companies plan to actively cooperate to promote the use of the national secretary service and improve the convenience of public services. Through this, the national secretary notification service will be provided via the apps of the four major financial companies, making it easier to receive government 생활형 administrative information.


Vice Minister Han Chang-seop said, “We have expanded linked services so that citizens can conveniently use the service through apps they currently use,” adding, “We will continue to provide various administrative services to citizens based on public-private cooperation models.”
