Kim Eun-hye, Pledge for a 'Safe Gyeonggi-do in Every Corner of the Alley' Kim Eun-hye, People Power Party Candidate for Governor of Gyeonggi Province [Kim Eun-hye Candidate Election Camp]

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Kim Eun-hye, the People Power Party candidate for Gyeonggi Province governor, announced on the 25th a life-oriented safety pledge for a "Safe Gyeonggi Province in Every Corner of the Alley."

The main contents of the pledge include ▲ensuring the safety of personal mobility devices such as electric kickboards ▲preventing traffic accidents involving children ▲preventing deaths from major disasters ▲crime prevention for single-woman households ▲and safety of cargo trucks.

To ensure the safety of personal mobility devices, measures such as lowering the maximum speed according to population density and road conditions, strict crackdown on drunk users, non-wearers of helmets, and unauthorized parking, as well as early traffic safety education for middle and high school students were disclosed.

The child traffic accident prevention measures include the establishment of smart pedestrian paths, expansion of visualization and three-dimensional school zones, big data-based customized safety solutions, and the establishment of safety governance involving parents, teachers, and local residents.

The safety pledge to prevent deaths from major disasters includes focused inspections of workplaces with frequent accidents and provision of customized measures, inspections of vulnerable sites and operation of a self-reporting system for hazardous and dangerous factors, and provision of major disaster prevention consulting.

For crime prevention in single-woman households, the pledge includes expanding installation of AI-equipped high-definition closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) in security-vulnerable areas, support for home smart security systems, and establishment of a one-stop crime victim protection system.

Regarding cargo truck safety, the plan is to secure the safety of both pedestrians and drivers simultaneously by constructing cargo truck-exclusive parking lots, promoting the installation of communication-type digital tachographs (DTG), and expanding support for repair and replacement.

Candidate Kim Eun-hye said, "No matter how many times we emphasize the safety of residents, it is never too much," adding, "I will do my best to create a Gyeonggi Province where people can walk safely in every corner of the alleys."
