[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Jo In-dong, Acting Mayor of Seoul, will visit the Jungnim-dong Community Center in Jung-gu on the 26th, ahead of the nationwide local elections on the 1st of next month, to inspect the preparation status of polling stations and election quarantine measures.

Seoul City will implement safety management measures at 2,716 polling and counting stations (425 early voting stations, 2,266 main polling stations, and 25 counting stations) to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and ensure safe voting.

General voters must follow quarantine rules such as wearing masks and using hand sanitizer before entering the polling stations. COVID-19 confirmed cases and quarantined individuals will vote inside the polling stations in the same manner as general voters but with separated voting time slots.

COVID-19 confirmed cases and quarantined individuals are allowed to go out for voting on the second day of early voting, the 28th, and from 6:20 PM on election day. On the second day of early voting, they can vote from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and on election day, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. When voting, they must prepare proof of confirmation such as voting notification messages, PCR or rapid antigen test positive notification messages, etc.
