“Verbal Abuse and Assault Fail to Resolve Complaints” … Sancheong-gun and Sancheong Police Station Conduct Emergency Response Drill for Special Complaints

“Verbal Abuse and Assault Fail to Resolve Complaints” … Sancheong-gun and Sancheong Police Station Conduct Emergency Response Drill for Special Complaints Sancheong-gun employees and police officers are conducting an emergency response drill for unusual civil complaints.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 25th, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and the Sancheong Police Station conducted an emergency response drill to protect local residents and public officials from special civil complaints involving verbal abuse and assault.

The two organizations carried out the drill assuming scenarios where a special complainant visits and causes a disturbance or an emergency situation occurs, in order to enhance the on-site response capabilities of civil service employees.

Civil Affairs Manager Min Byung-seok served as the overall commander, and five dedicated teams were formed for evacuation and response, with all civil service department staff participating.

They reported using the wall-mounted emergency bell when the desk-attached emergency bell malfunctioned or failed to operate. They also focused on practicing police dispatch times and reporting procedures.

This year, a security guard was assigned to operate a system responding to real situations.

A county official stated, “We are developing the ability to respond quickly to special civil complaint situations that may occur in the civil service office,” adding, “We will create a safe civil service office and provide better administrative services to residents.”
